Hello, fellow wls friends........I have an urgent question......I realize we are all different and it's based on each individuals needs......I've called Barix on this but I wanted to hear from you as well.  My surgery was 15 mos ago and I'm 15 lbs from goal.  I'm thrilled with my results so far........But the boobs are gone and the tummy skin hangs.......now I have to add, I'm lucky it's not as bad as some I had roughly 115 lbs to lose total.  I"m short, only 5 ft & 3/4 inches tall.  I worked out before surgery like crazy and after my tone is pretty good.  I've had no skin infections or any problems, except I hate the way I look in those areas now.  The extra skin prevents me from wearing clothes the way I'd like (I have to tuck the extra somewhere, I'm sure you understand) and my boobs look like my grammies.  LOL...........I am not sure my new insurance bcbs will cover plastics yet.  We are in the process of changing over.  We are going to do a flex acct I think and I'm trying to decide how mu*****ase  they don't cover to put away......we won't be taxed on this money but we will have to use it up or lose it.  Let's just say on average could you tell me what the ranges might be???  Anyone who's been there with Dr. DiNick and done that???  I think I will need less work than most but I'd like to fill in the breasts to be full again (not really bigger) and a tummy tuck.  Thanks for any help or info you can give me.......I'm not asking for specifics I realize that is impossible but general round abouts would at least help me figure a total maybe!!  Thank you so much for listening and offering up any info possible!  I love my OH boards!!

Hi there,
I have BCBS PPO.  They are covering my TT.  Breast lift was not covered.  Quoted price for one at U of M is $6,200.

I don`t work for Dr Dinick  lol ,  but it sounds like you may need a consult and a price quote. Usually they know what your BC BS will cover. Talk to Carey Di Nicks assistant she would know alot more..

From my understanding, an FSA account won't cover plastics. There is something in the IRS code for this that denies it, unless it's medical necessary and then you have to prove you actually have to have it (i.e. disfiguring debilitating facial problems, etc).

I would look into the FSA, but when I asked about it last year at my employer they said that you can not use FSA for plastics.  I just don't want you to lose that money.

Thanks so much, I am so glad you warned me about this......nothing of course is ever said about this in meetings, you just have to hunt & find everything when dealing with insurance and all the rules and regulations...........I love my OH friends who care enough to say what's what!!!  I'm sure you just saved me a bundle.............and I can't afford to lose any money these days!!  ~Hugs, Steffanie
